Empowering Minds
Rycroft, has been chosen! Empowering Minds — a national mental health initiative focused on strengthening rural communities, is coming to town this June 16 & 17.
The Central Peace Region has been selected through the Rycroft Agricultural Society as part of a growing movement across Canada to address rising rates of anxiety, depression, and suicide — by equipping everyday people to take action before crisis happens.
Leading the session is founder Ian Hill — award-winning humanitarian and one of North America’s leading voices on community-driven mental health — who has worked with over 1,700 communities. This free, high-impact training will give you practical tools to recognize when someone is struggling, start the conversation, and connect them to help.
