This morning (December 19th) we are at the Wanham transfer station dealing with a legacy pile of grain bags. Once this legacy pile and the one at the Tangent landfill are dealt with we will once again be accepting properly rolled grain bags.

The hoe is sorting the properly rolled bags, along with a few that are questionable, from the loose bags and the skid steer is loading them into the truck to be shipped for recycling.

Unfortunately, the loose bags are destined for the landfill.  As you can see, when the bags are not dealt with properly, they generate a lot of waste.

Not only is a lot of waste generated, but there is also a lot of cost that must go in to disposing of them.

This is why we are not currently accepting grain bags and will be asking that they come in by appointment once we are again able to accept them.
